All our twist films
are extruded in our plant, and are completely free from phthalates, bisphenol-A,
dioxins, PVC, and other additives that are increasingly becoming banned
by governments and retailers alike.
Our latest twist wrap is UltraWrap. Designed specifically to compete with cellophane where other materials have failed in the past, UltraWrap is a 5-layer cast modified, high-crystalline polyethylene based film. UltraWrap is almost a decade in the making, and is a proprietary material. It has excellent stiffness, twist and dead fold properties, and features high clarity and gloss.
UltraWrap is a very stable material, and will not dry out and turn brittle in low-humidity conditions. The material works very well on the majority of twist wrap machines on the market today, including cut 'n wrap machines for taffy and caramels. UltraWrap is also ideal for wrapping chocolates and pre-formed confection.
UltraWrap is available in clear, printed, metallized, stripe metallized and D-Met in the following grades:

Cast polypropylene (CPP) Twist Wrap is an elegant, traditional, yet cost-effective way to piece wrap a large variety of pre-formed confection, ranging from hard candy to chocolate truffles. CPP TwistWrap runs very well on most twist wrappers on the market today, with little or no modifications. The high yield provides an outstanding value. Just like UltraWrap, CPP TwistWrap is a very stable material, and will not dry out and turn brittle in low-humidity conditions.
CPP Twist Wrap and is an excellent alternative to cellophane and PVC, and is available in 1.0, 1.2, and 1.4 mil thicknesses. The material can be clear, tinted, white, or metallized. Stripe metallization and D-Met are also available.

Wax has a
tendency to build up on machine parts, which requires regular shutdowns
for cleaning. Wax paper naturally contains water (upwards of 6%
depending on the grade), and strives to keep that water in the film. In
dry conditions, the paper will absorb water from the candy, drying it out.
In high humidity, wax paper will
transfer excess moisture to the candy, making it sticky and
unappetizing. Also, wax paper in storage is likely to dry out over
time, creating rips and tears when wrapping candy.
PaperEx is a
new twist wrap material from Multifilm that looks and feels like
wax paper, but performs like a plastic film. No ripping or
tearing, no candy sticking to the wrapper, and no need to shut
down the line to clean the wax build-up.
