is a clear laminate with outstanding gas barrier properties, developed
primarily for the nuts, dry foods, and snack markets.
N-Coat uses a new, unique nano-based technology: an ultra thin coating is applied on a 48 gauge polyester film laminated to a CPP or PE sealant web. The result is a clear film with a gas barrier that competes with most metallized structures.
N-Coat has an oxygen barrier of 0.07 cm3/ 100in2/ 24hrs. This is 2-3 times better than a metallized PET and almost 10 times better than PVdC coated PET film at a lower coating weight and cost, and none of the negative environmental implications that go hand in hand with chlorine-based PVdC.
